The Writers Circle’s New Cast of Crazy Characters – and the chance to publish a story about them!

It’s time to spruce a few things up here at The Writers Circle. We’ve been using our authentic antique images since 2010. Now it’s time to move into the 21st century. (Well, sort of.)

Thanks to the tremendous artistic talents of our very own Amanda Zoe, we’re introducing three new characters who embody the bold, eccentric and sometimes maniacal imagination and daring that it takes to be a writer.

Introducing… (drum roll, please!)

TWC-CHARACTERS

Now we’re counting on you to send them off on some wild adventures.

From now until December 31, 2013, we’re accepting stories, screenplays, poetry and whatever else you want to write, about our three intrepid adventurers. We’ll read through them all and post the very best on The Writers Circle Journal Online.

TO SUBMIT:

You must be a current or former student of The Writers Circle. (Children AND adults welcome!)

Submissions must be no longer than 2000 words, or about 8 double-spaced, typed pages. Include your story’s title and the author’s name* on your manuscript.

Please email your story to info AT writerscircleworkshops.com with “TWC CHARACTERS SUBMISSION” in the Subject line.

Deadline: December 31, 2013, but we’ll be really happy to read and post your stories sooner! Send them as soon as you’re done polishing your final draft!

*Parents, we’re as concerned about internet safety as you are. We’ll only identify your child by first name, last initial, and age, unless you specify otherwise.

About Judith

Judith Lindbergh's latest novel, Pasture of Heaven, is about a nomad woman warrior on the Central Asian steppes in the 5th century BCE. (And there really were!) Her first novel, The Thrall's Tale, is a literary historical novel about three women in the first Viking Age settlement in 10th century Greenland. The Thrall's Tale was a Booksense Pick and a Borders Original Voices selection. Judith is also the founder and director of The Writers Circle, a creative writing program offering workshops for children and adults.
